Our client are a leading food production company and are looking for an assistant team leader to work closely with team leaders established within the business.


– to have appropriate, clear and respectful communication skills with staff/direct reports

– to adhere to company policies, work, food hygiene and health & safety procedures

– have an awareness of rules per contract and staff handbook

– be responsible for all “Return to Work” forms for any illness/absence and ensure your team are medically fit for work

– reporting to Production Supervisors

– ensure trace-ability, stock rotation and product specifications per customer

– accept and be receptive to appropriate training

– communicate any concerns or incidents relating to food safety, quality, health & safety, welfare or anything else that may negatively effect the company to team leader/production supervisor

– must be able to support all team leaders in their role

– mentor, motivate and help staff working under you

– reporting any quality concerns and production speeds, mistakes, problems and improvements to relevant team leader or supervisor

– fulfilling all day to day tasks required to a high standard

– must fill any daily paperwork including record sheets, cleaning schedules, blue plaster etc. as required by role or company

– would be required to lock buildings and ensure site is left safe and secure

– would be required to ensure all staff have left site prior to the above


Successful candidates must:

– be trustworthy, honest and responsible

– have experience with managing people and working in a position of authority

– must work closely with other team leaders, supervisors and production staff, you must be approachable and patient in this respect

– English must be good, it does not need to be your first language

– must be proactive in making decisions and enforcing improvements in production

– must be flexible with role and happy to work in this capacity within other departments

– will ideally have production experience as well as experience working as a team leader or supervisor

Tuesday to Saturday 07:00 – 15:15

Must have safety boots and be prepared to undertake an interview and induction.
